The roadmap to a successful CBM implementation

The implementation of Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) can be a complex undertaking. Through our years of implementation experience we defined a roadmap to success to ensure the successful implementation of our CBM solution. This is our vision on our implementation of  CBM for quick and lasting results.

Before a project kick-off, we support organizations in assessing their individual digital maturity, as this is a fundamental precursor for Condition Based Monitoring Services provided through the SAHC platform, and experience has shown that the digital maturity of organizations throughout the chemical industry can vary considerably.

  • Stage 1: Data driven decision making
What are the needs of our client? And will Condition Based Monitoring contribute to this? This stage processes the potential scope, needs, feasibility, and business case. We developed a business case creation tool, which determines the potential added value of CBM through the most commonly used industry value drivers.
  • Stage 2: Telemetry
The telemetry phase relates to the generation of data. We like to focus our attention on the data that is already being generated, but sometimes more data is required. To support organizations in retrieving the crucial data regarding their assets, we offer sensor recommendations based on Failure Mode and Effects Analyses. If desired, we can also incorporate the requisitioning and Deployment of the desired sensors
  • Stage 3: Data ingestion
In this stage, the quality of the data will be assessed, as the data needs to comply to an agreed standard of data requirements. In this phase, we  also support you in setting-up a live data connection to be able to have real-time insights regarding the assets’ performance.
  • Stage 4: Data digestion
Data digestion is the process in which the acquired data is used to retrieve information and leverage the value that is hidden within the data. During this stage, we use the acquired data to develop predictive models that tell us when failures are likely to occur. Based on these models, our monitoring dashboards generate automatic alarms if an anomalies start to emerge.

Once the deployment roadmap is finished, the relevant assets will be monitored by our highly trained monitoring professionals. All assets will be observed by certified engineers to notify the client of any (potential) anomalies.
