Partnership Sitech and iSensPro for innovative monitoring solutions for corrosion under insulation

At the Maintenance trade show in Dortmund, Germany, Sitech signed a distribution agreement with iSensPro, a specialist in smart sensoring: the remote monitoring of data from industrial assets, including plant pipelines. This strategic partnership enables Sitech to offer its customers the best solution to address Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) at existing plants or at new installations and optimise asset performance.

CUI is a global problem in the chemical industry. Many industrial process installations are now decades old, so the insulated assets pose a safety risk. At present, many industrial plants are not able to detect damage caused by corrosion under insulation until it is too late, leading to significant costs and risks.

iSensPro’s major strength lies in detecting potential defects, with smart sensors being mounted on the outside of pipelines and taking measurements through the gasket. With Sitech’s expertise and iSensPro’s sensors, CUI can be detected and resolved at an early stage, before problems and plant failures can occur.

Partnership signing with from left to right Yves Desmet CEO & co-founder iSensPro, Rob Gülickers Director Technology & Innovation Sitech and Dirk de Keukeleere of iSensPro.

“This collaboration brings with it three major benefits,” says Rob Gülickers, Sitech’s Director Technology & Innovation. “It means that we do not have to carry out unnecessary inspections, allowing us to maximize the productivity of limited staff. We can also increase the integrity of the installations, since the sensors continuously send real-time data to Sitech’s control room, meaning that potential faults can be detected and traced at a very early stage. Adequately anticipating such faults minimizes the costs of any repairs, prevents unplanned plant downtime and mitigates potential safety risks. Finally, an additional benefit for the customer is how easy it is to get started, thanks to a lease structure for the sensors offered by Sitech.”

“We are very pleased with this partnership” says CEO Yves Desmet of iSensPro. “Years of co-creation with Sitech have resulted in a sensor that truly gives a voice to pipelines and tanks, allowing Sitech to instantly see and analyse the condition of these assets, and efficiently assist customers. Moreover, this collaboration is the beginning of an international expansion of the knowledge and experience of Sitech and iSensPro.”

This partnership promises a future of innovation, improved reliability and expanded services. The collaboration between Sitech and iSensPro allows customers to take advantage of the benefits of iSensPro’s advanced CUI solution. Sitech provides its customers with extensive support and expertise in CUI and in making the most of the asset monitoring capabilities.

About iSensPro
iSensPro strongly believes in the digitisation of the industry whereby factories are monitored and managed remotely. iSensPro contributes to this by developing technology and offering services that give static assets a voice so that they get the attention and maintenance when needed. This ensures a more proactive and cost-efficient management of factories.
